Investing in Small Island Recovery:

Archipelagic Approaches to Sustainable Living

17‒22 April 2012, Unst, Shetland

Small islands are vulnerable to global economic, fluctuation depopulation, distant governance, and market demands. This island studies conference will explore public-, private-, and community-led strategies for overcoming small island challenges and will consider the respective merits of development initiatives focusing on individual villages, whole islands, or entire archipelagos.
